 Spectrecology distributes, designs, rents and sells UV, NIR and IR spectrometer and spectrophotometer systems and components for optical sensing. LIBS identifies grades of steel
The Insight LIBS system has been successfully used to identify various grades of stainless steel. In-bound inspection of raw materials is increasingly important. LIBS is an excellent choice for this application because it does not require any sample preparation and can be used to analyze the surface an subsurface of parts.

Spectrecology has added Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) systems to its portfolio of products. The systems made by Photon Machines include the state-of-the-art Crossfire, an Exchelle based spectrometer with intensified CCD camera for detection. Other models are UV and IR based Insight units and the new ZAP educational system.
LIBS provides instant analysis of multiple elements in a single laser shot. There is no sample preparation and it is capable of detecting virtually every element of industrial interest.

UV LEDS
We supply UV leds at any wavelength from 240nm to 405nm. These are available as devices, or as complete single LED and 4 channel sources. UV leds are in TO39 packages, with flate, hemispherical or ball lens windows. Typical out put power for devices < 365nm is on the order of 400-800 uW. 365nm, 385nm and 405nm are available in high power format, 100's of mW.

The picture shows our pH sensitive cuvette. The cuvette turns yellow when you add a low pH sample and blue when you add an alkaline pH sample. Our software uses the spectra to
