The SpectroCam Multispectral Imaging (MSI) system offers a sophisticated, flexible platform for development and deployment of various MSI applications. Designed to reduce development times and simplify the design cycle , SpectroCam features a high speed, continuously rotating filter wheel containing 8 interchangeable optical filters; combined with the scientific grade CCD array, this filter design creates a fully portable, fully configurable, high speed MSI camera. With minimal pixel shift and high frame rates, this dynamic system is a powerful product development tool.

SpectroCam systems are available in a turnkey format complete with lens, 8 interchangeable filters and acquisition software that can be used for innovative 2D spectroscopy research in a variety of fields including water quality measurement, product screening, machine vision, medical imaging, surveillance and authentication. The system can also be customized for integration into specific OEM products. The platform is readily modified to meet your mechanical and environmental needs.

SpectroCam is available for R&D teams who need a quick turnkey solution. Spectrocam Applications
Materials absorb and reflect light different wavelengths. By choosing the correct spectral filter, the contrast of specific chemicals can be enhanced, and made more visible to the user. Spectrocam is being used to develop a camera that can detect bed sores for patients with dark skin. Pressure ulcers begin as a pooling of blood in tissue thats been weakened by chronic pressure. The pooled blood absorbs light at 570nm due to hemoglobin. Fusing an image at 570nm, with one at 615nm resulted in an increase in contrast (M).
