Spectrecology offers high-power lasers for Raman excitation wavelengths of 532, 638, 785, and 1064 nm. These multimode diode lasers produce narrow spectral lines, have integrated laser drivers, and are thermoelectrically cooled for optimum performance.
The 532 nm wavelength option is a workhorse for inorganic materials, offering maximum signal for samples that do not suffer from autofluorescence. Also, 532 nm is useful for Raman resonance experiments and for the study of carbon materials including carbon nanotubes and fullerenes.
- Integrated laser package – a turnkey solution with integrated laser drive, TEC cooled electronics and safety switches
- Multiple options – available in 532, 638, 785 nm, and 1064 nm Raman excitation wavelengths
- 532 nm Raman excitation – ideal for use with inorganic materials
Raman spectroscopy at 638 nm excitation effectively balances signal level with fluorescence and offers very good resolution. Also, 638 nm is a versatile wavelength for generating high-quality SERS data for a wide range of analytes.
- Integrated laser package – a turnkey solution with integrated laser drive, TEC cooled electronics and safety switches
- Multiple options – available in 532, 638, 785 nm, and 1064 nm Raman excitation wavelengths
- 638 nm Raman excitation -- balances signal level with fluorescence; useful for biomedical applications
- Adjustable output power – options for manual or remote control of laser drive current
The most popular Raman excitation wavelength is 785 nm. Raman 785 nm systems yield excellent quality Raman spectra for most chemicals, with limited interference from fluorescence. These systems also offer very good spectral resolution, making 785 nm Raman excitation an excellent choice for the measurement of chemicals and organic materials.
- Integrated laser package – turnkey solution with integrated laser drive, TEC cooled electronics, and safety switches
- Multiple options – available in 532, 638, 785 nm, and 1064 nm Raman excitation wavelengths
- 785 nm Raman excitation -- ideal for use with chemicals and organic materials
- Adjustable output power – options for manual or remote control of laser drive current
The 1064 nm Raman excitation wavelength generates minimal fluorescence. Although the Raman signal is much weaker (6% of what would be predicted for 532 nm), the near-absence of fluorescence permits spectra to be obtained with a reasonable signal-to-noise ratio.
- Integrated laser package – a turnkey solution with integrated laser drive, TEC cooled electronics and safety switches
- Multiple options – available in 532, 638, 785 nm, and 1064 nm Raman excitation wavelengths
- 1064 nm Raman excitation -- is useful for pigment-rich tissues and materials
- Adjustable output power – options for manual or remote control of laser drive current
