Raman spectrometers emit a high-intensity light beam. When this beam interacts with a material, it reflects off molecules, scattering into different wavelengths. A small portion (typically around 0.0000001%) projects into the Raman light spectrum. Raman spectrometers detect and analyze these wavelengths to identify the material with precision accuracy.

Our fiber optic-based Raman spectrometers come with a back-thinned FFT-CCD detector and gold-coated mirrors. Each features a >1000:1 signal-to-noise ratio, with Raman shifts of 0-3000 cm-1 (using a spectrometer) and 150-3000 cm-1 (using a standard Raman probe).
